I am Ashley, the formulator behind SwonLab.
I hold an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and I have spent the last decade formulating, troubleshooting, and writing about cosmetic products. My guides on solid shampoo bars, emulsions, facial oils, and cosmetic actives are used by indie formulators in more than 20 countries.

Frequently asked questions
Do you make or test physical samples?
No. Everything is delivered as written documentation. I design and review formulas on paper, based on published science and formulation experience. Lab-scale testing (stability, challenge tests) is something you or your manufacturer will run, and my reports tell you exactly what to test for.
What information do I need to prepare?
For an audit: your current formula with percentages, your manufacturing method, and any problems you have seen. For a custom project or roadmap, the short intake form walks you through everything. If you are missing something, send what you have and I will tell you what else I need.
Is my formula confidential?
Yes. I do not share, resell, or reuse your formula. If you send a mutual NDA before we start, I am happy to work under it.
Which regulations do you cover?
I frame claims and labeling around EU and UK cosmetic regulations, and I flag common issues for other markets. My reports are formulation guidance, not regulatory or legal sign-off.
What if I need more help after the follow-up window?
You can book a short follow-up audit, or email me for a quick quote on continued support. Returning clients get priority scheduling.
What is your refund policy?
Because each report is custom written work, audits and roadmaps are non-refundable once delivered. If I cannot help with your specific request, I will tell you before you pay. Custom projects are scoped and approved before any payment is taken.
How do the monthly slots work?
I take a maximum of 4 projects per month so every report gets full attention. When the month is full, the booking buttons show "Sold out" and reopen on the 1st of the next month. Custom projects are scheduled after brief approval.
